Karen's Thing 12
Like information literacy, digital media literacy is a must for both students and staff to keep up with evolving technologies. There is a wonderful world opening up for everyone but they need to be educated on how to use this new technology. We can't assume that they know. Luckily we have programmes like 23 Things to help us. This is a new age where information is delivered to students via smartphones, tablets etc and then in turn can be shared amongst others. We have the opportunity to collect information at any time or at any place and at a rapidly increasing speed, giving students quality teaching and learning.

ReplyDeleteThe thing I guess with all this new technology is choosing the best tool or technology for the job- sometimes it is a piece of aper, sometimes an app for a phone....and the great thing about this program is having a go, increasing your confidence in trying things out!!
